Prof. Chi-Chang Hu visited to the University of Hong Kong to give a seminar. His presentation was held in CPD-3.01 on Centennial Campus on Aug 21, 2015. His presentation was entitled “DEVELOPING HIGH-VOLTAGE SUPERCAPACITORS USING COMMERCIAL ELECTROLYTES.” Prof. Chi-Chang Hu received his Ph.D. from National Cheng Kung University in Electrochemical Engineering in 1995. He is currently a chair professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, where he runs the Laboratory of Electrochemistry & Advanced Materials (LECAM). He has won the 46th Annual Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award of Taiwan (2008) and the SCEJ Award for Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer of Japan (2014). His research interests include electrochemical deposition of nanostructured oxides, semiconductors, alloy, metals, and their applications for electrochemical energy storage and conversion systems, (bio)sensors, photocatalyst and surface finishing.
